Danae Michael has written about time, grief, mental health, loss, poison, gods, prophets, and relationships turned to blood sacrifice. Witches who save women from bad marriages, and ghosts of funeral home employees who still show up to work.

Working in multiple fields and as writer and editor for everything from mental health newsletters for major apps and subscription services  to the worst student films you’ve ever seen, Danae has no end to what they’re willing to try in the name of radical vulnerability.

Ironically, Danae has many things they do not discuss except through art. These include: creating playlists for every character, writing their own name and the names of friends on random surfaces, an uncanny ability to find Waldo, an intense phobia of having your identity stolen, the indomitable belief in wood cut art, and a collection of Snapple caps currently in temporary residence in a friend’s flooded basement which will someday become floor tiles. And yes, there’s that many.
